HACSI For Covid-19 Relief in Washington Metro Area (DMV area)
  • The Corona Pandemic truly created unrelenting suffering across the globe and our Washington Metro area is no exception. It has led to severe economic down turn with loss of employment. HACSI decided to extend a helping hand to people with food insecurity in DC, Prince George’s County, Montgomery County in Maryland and Fairfax County in Northern Virginia.

  • We conducted 13 Grab & Go food drives from May 2020 to April 2021 and we served 150,000 pounds of groceries to 4,940 families serving 18,300 individuals in Prince George's County and Montgomery County in Maryland and Fairfax County in Virginia.

  • We continued our financial commitment to DC Central Kitchen even though our volunteers could not prepare food at DCCK due to Covid-19. Similarly we gave monetary assistance to all 6 Montgomery County HELPs. We delivered hot foods once a Month to all the residents at Bailey’s Cross Roads shelter in Falls Church, Virginia.

  • None of these activities would have been possible without the commitment of our volunteers and generous donations from our dedicated supporters. Our volunteers gave 1600 hours of selfless service and HACSI expended over $100,000 in 2020.

  • We request our supporters to donate generously by clicking the “ Donate Using Paypal” button on the top of the screen. Alternately, please mail a check to HACSI, 11412 Swains Creek Ct, Potomac, MD 20854.
